Day 2 - August 16

We’ll begin with a visit to the lush and iconic Parque Terra Nostra, where you can wander through exotic gardens and soak in the island’s famous warm mineral pools. From there, we’ll sit down for lunch at Tony’s, a local favorite known for traditional Azorean dishes — the perfect midday refuel. Afterward, it’s time to hit the water for an afternoon surf session at Praia de Santa Bárbara, one of the island’s most stunning black-sand beaches. We’ll wind down with an end-of-day drink at Tuka Tula, soaking in the coastal energy before gathering for dinner at Associação Agrícola de São Miguel, known for serving some of the best local steak on the island.
Day 3 - August 17

We’ll start with a scenic hike around Lagoa das Sete Cidades, where sweeping ridgelines and twin blue-and-green lakes create one of the most iconic landscapes in the Azores. After working up an appetite, we’ll enjoy a relaxed buffet lunch at Lagoa Azul Restaurant, right by the water , the perfect setting to refuel and take in the views. From there, we’ll head to the natural thermal pool at Ponta da Ferraria, where warm volcanic waters meet the Atlantic for a truly unique swimming experience. As the day winds down, we’ll catch sunset at Mosteiros Beach, known for its dramatic rock formations and glowing skies. The evening is yours to explore, with free time for dinner in Ponta Delgada, wander the charming streets, find a cozy spot, and soak in the island atmosphere at your own pace.
Day 4 - August 18

Fly from São Miguel to Pico
We’ll start the morning by checking out of the hotel and heading out for one last adventure on São Miguel. The day kicks off with an adrenaline-filled canyoning experience, descending waterfalls, navigating lush volcanic terrain, and fully immersing ourselves in the island’s wild landscape. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a relaxed, free lunch at A Tasca, a beloved local spot known for its traditional Azorean flavors. Then it’s off to the airport for our flight to Pico Island. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to our accommodations, check in, and settle into the rhythm of a new island.
In the evening, we’ll gather for dinner, our first shared meal on Pico, and ease into the next chapter of the adventure together.
Day 5 - August 19
PICO + FAIAL
We ferry from Madalena (Pico) to Faial in the early morning, crossing the channel toward a full day of exploration. We begin at the dramatic landscapes of Capelinhos Volcano before continuing to the breathtaking Caldeira of Faial, taking in sweeping views shaped by fire and time. Lunch is at Restaurante Genuíno, run by a sailor who has completed two solo circumnavigations of the globe — a fitting stop in this legendary sailing port. In the afternoon, we unwind at Porto Pim Beach with optional stand-up paddleboarding or free time by the water, followed by a whale watching excursion off Faial’s coast. In the evening, we return by boat to Madalena and gather for dinner at Restaurante Ancoradouro, closing a day defined by volcanic landscapes, Atlantic waters, and maritime spirit.
Day 6 - August 20
PICO
We visit Furna de Frei Matias Cave, stepping into Pico’s volcanic underworld and experiencing the island’s raw geological beauty up close. We continue to Lagoa do Capitão, a serene crater lake framed by sweeping views of Mount Pico, before diving into the island’s maritime heritage at the Whalers Museum in Lajes. Lunch is at Ritinha, where traditional Azorean flavors take center stage. In the afternoon, we meet with a local whale spotter to learn about the centuries-old lookout system that still guides boats today, followed by a wine tasting with Fábio, discovering the distinctive character of Pico’s volcanic vineyards. We close the day with dinner at Restaurante Farrobo, gathering together to reflect on a day shaped by lava, lake, legacy, and sea.
Day 7 - August 21
PICO / SÃO MIGUEL
FLY BACK TO SÃO MIGUEL
We check out in the morning before easing into our final hours on Pico. You can opt for a refreshing coastal snorkeling session in the clear Atlantic waters or enjoy free time in Madalena for a relaxed coffee, seaside stroll, or last-minute shopping. We gather one last time for a casual lunch at Ilha Foodtruck, soaking in the island atmosphere before transferring to Pico Airport for departure — closing our journey with salty skin, full hearts, and memories of the Azores that will linger long after takeoff.
Day 8 - August 22
DEPARTURE
After an unforgettable week in the Azores, we’ll say our goodbyes and make our way back home.
