What To Expect
27th DECEMBER
(Leave the U.S. on December 26th)
ARRIVAL – CAPE TOWN - CPT
After you land in Cape Town. You will make your way to Cloud 9 Boutique Hotel & Spa. Nestled at the foot of Table Mountain, the Cloud 9 Boutique Hotel and Spa is located within walking distance of a variety of trendy shops and restaurants on vibrant Kloof and Long Streets.
Welcome dinner will be served at the exotic Gold Restaurant (www.goldrestaurant.co.za).
28th DECEMBER
CLIMB TABLE MOUNTAIN
This day will start early as it is time to climb Table Mountain together with our guide. Table Mountain is located 1086 meters above sea level, and you’ll be spoilt with beautiful views from the top.
The magnificent Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are found on the eastern foot of the mountain. We’ll take the cable car down and depart for Kirstenbosch Gardens. We’ll have lunch at Kirstenbosch Gardens followed by a guided tour there.
In the afternoon the guide will take us on a guided city tour.
In the evening we will take a walk to Oranjezicht City Farm Market located on the Waterfront.
29th DECEMBER
CAPE OF GOOD HOPE
We’ll spend the day day around the Cape Peninsula. The route follows the legendary Chapman’s Peak way, where we’ll see magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean as the peninsula road winds its way down to the tip of Africa. We’ll see the historically Cape of Good Hope. Once we arrive at Millers Point, we will get into RIB boats and go around the Peninsula to see the cape from the water. Lunch will be served at Harbour House.
Dinner at The Lawns at the Roundhouse, beautifully nestled under the folds of the Table Mountain Nation Park in Camps Bay, Cape Town, with views across the Atlantic Ocean.
30th DECEMBER
THE TOWNSHIPS
We’re spending a full day in the Townships with our experienced guide. This can be a humbling experience for many. The group will meet several great personalities doing township projects such as coffeeshops, nightclubs, education centers, drum centers, soccer clubs etc.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in the townships.
This evening we will experience Cape Malay cuisine through interactive cooking. Cape Malay food is a cuisine unique to the Western Cape of South Africa. It’s a style of food steeped in history and preserved through ongoing tradition. Most know the cuisine for its fruity, mild spices and full-bodied flavours, which are heavily influenced by its overseas origins. The Cape Malay special style of cooking fuses traditions from Malaysian, Indonesian and East African slaves, who were brought to Cape Town by Dutch settlers in the 17th and 18th centuries.
31st DECEMBER
ZIP LINE/ NEW YEARS EVE
We’re going to Constantia for some ziplining! We will be surrounded by the natural beauty, fauna, and flora while walking and ziplining between the 12 platforms. The platforms offer visitors the most amazing panoramic views of Cape Town. Some of the Ziplines are as high as 155 Meters with the tree top canopy below. Afterward, lunch will be served at Beau Constantia.
New Year’s dinner will take place at the popular Grand Café & Beach. This venue is situated on its own private beach with the blue Atlantic ocean just outside. The owners have created a nice ”sand between your toes”-feeling at the same time as the restaurant delivers Bistro-style food from an excellent kitchen. Not included in the price, will be booked and added to the program once available.
1st JANUARY
FREE DAY
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a day of your own accord.
Suggestions on activities in and around Cape Town:
Enjoy the relaxing pool area at the hotel or soak up the sun on Camps Bay Beach or Clifton Beach.
A historical tour of Robben Island, a half-day tour from Cape Town, where the guests will enjoy a ferry ride out to Robben Island and thereafter a tour of the island. The guests will even have the chance to visit Nelson Mandela’s prison cell (the guests pre-book tickets by their own online).
Golf, surfing, sand boarding, sea kayaking, and diving are some of the activities that you can find near Cape Town (should be pre-booked) or go hiking on one of the many trails that you can find in the area around Table Mountain.

Go horseback riding in Noordhoek, 40 minutes outside of Cape Town.
2nd JANUARY
CAPE WINELANDS
We’re spending the first part of the day in Franschhoek. We will cycle between vineyards for two wine tastings. Our last stop is Haute Cabrière where we will have a third wine tasting followed by lunch overlooking the beautiful valley. After lunch, we will depart for a guided tour in Stellenbosch and also enjoy a brandy tasting.
