Nashville Bourbon & History Tour

Spirits, Southern culture and heritage — one distillery a day, paired with the historic homes and Civil War landmarks that shaped Middle Tennessee. Five unhurried days, a single downtown hotel, and a pace built for guests who'd rather savor a place than rush through it.

Departure
Fly into Nashville (BNA)
Duration
5 days / 4 nights
Group Size
20–26 guests
Dates
October 8–13

Guests fly into Nashville, settle into one downtown hotel for the week, and let us handle every drive, reservation and pour. Each day pairs a single distillery with a meaningful historical visit, a long Southern lunch, and an easy afternoon — no back-to-back tastings, no rushed transitions.

Designed with a 55+ traveler in mind: walkable sites with seated rest options, a private motorcoach with easy boarding, and no more than one substantial walk a day. Belle Meade, Carter House, Lynchburg's town square and The Hermitage tell the broader story of Middle Tennessee — antebellum life, the Civil War, presidential history, and the small towns that built the South — so the whiskey makes more sense in that context.

Reading the Pacing Proof

Every day below carries a proof gauge in place of a difficulty rating — the same idea coopers use to grade a barrel's char. Low proof (80–90) marks an easy, seated day; high proof (110+) marks the fuller days, so you'll always know what's coming before you book it.

Why This Trip Works

Built for Comfort, Not Crammed

01

One Distillery a Day

Paced for comfort. Each day pairs a single distillery with a substantial historical or cultural visit, a long Southern lunch, and an unhurried afternoon. No back-to-back tastings, no rushed transitions.

02

A Real Sense of Place

Belle Meade, Carter House, Carnton, Lynchburg's town square and The Hermitage tell the broader story of Middle Tennessee. The whiskey makes more sense in that context.

03

Built for a 55+ Traveler

Walkable sites with seated rest options. Private motorcoach with easy boarding. No more than one substantial walk per day. Tram options at The Hermitage. Lunches sit at the center of every day, not the end.

04

One Hotel, Five Nights

No packing and unpacking. Guests settle in once and let the days come to them. Downtown Nashville is the home base — walkable, lively, and a short ride from everywhere we go.

05

Music Without the Bar Crawl

Live music shows up where it belongs: a Friday night at the Grand Ole Opry, an optional Bluebird Café evening, and a private farewell dinner and backstage tour at the Ryman. No late nights on Broadway required.

Flexibility

Pacing Options

Lighter Close

Move Uncle Nearest to Day 4 (after George Dickel) and use Day 5 for The Hermitage in the morning, lunch, and a relaxed afternoon at the Country Music Hall of Fame before the farewell dinner.

Add a Cumberland River Cruise

Cheekwood Add-On

A morning at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens (55 acres of gardens and a 1930s mansion-turned-art-museum) can be substituted for any single morning. Particularly lovely in spring and fall.
